Weekend of April 15-16th, 2006

I haven't updated this in a while and i haven't kept track of what i've done so i'll just skip to where i am now. I stripped the entire Fastback down to just the body. Took everything off that i could. Doors, truck lid, fenders, etc. and i took it all down to American Stripping Inc in Sacramento, CA. I had them strip all the paint and rust off by mineral blasting everything and then paint it with an apoxy sealer to protect the paint from the elements. I got the Fastback back this weekend and it looks badass except for a couple of surprises i didn't expect at all.

Heres a picture of the Fastback the day i took it down to the stripping place.

This is what it looks like now...

The Exterior of the Fastback

Heres the trunk lid and a door

Engine compartment

The passengerside headlight holder

The passengerside quater panel near the passenger door. I had NO IDEA this was there but i do remember seeing what looked like glue on the inside of the panel. It was bondo that squeezed through the holes they drilled to pull this dent out. I have no idea why they didn't just take the interior panel out and use a body hammer to knock it out.

I didn't know this would be there either :(

Nice rearend ;)

I knew this was bad but it definitely got worse
